6. Greenhouse Tavern

Greenhouse Tavern Website

2038 East 4th Street
Cleveland, Ohio
Country: The United States of America

Description: The Greenhouse Tavern is a beer lover's dream. Featuring top-of-the-line drinks, tasty food, and sitting in one of the trendiest areas to hang out in Cleveland.

The Ohio Beef Burger is Greenhouse's try at a gourmet burger and is paired with a brioche bun, raclette cheese & cornichon relish. The bun is well toasted, the cheese is flavorful, and the relish was a nice touch. However, the gooeyness of the cheese and the softness of the tomato led to an odd texture combination. The flavor profile of the burger was pretty neutral and could have used some seasoning to give it a mouthwatering effect. My side of poutine fries and my tasty beer were excellent, still making the Greenhouse Tavern worth a trip.

5. AMP 150

best burgers in Cleveland AMP 150

AMP 150 Website

4277 W 150th Street
Cleveland, Ohio
Country: The United States of America

Description: The Double Bacon Cheeseburger at AMP 150 is a great looking burger. Ohio Cheddar, Benton’s Bacon, truffle aioli, house pickles, and an onion bun. The rich flavors of the bacon, cheddar, pickles, and aioli make for a great burger. This burger had some smart flavors, however its shortcoming was the fact that the two beef patties were overly cooked and dry. This led to a very dry profile for the entire burger. I found myself chasing each bite with my drink. If you get a juicy one this burger might be quite a bit better!

4. Great Lakes Brewing

Great Lakes Brewing Website

2516 Market Avenue
Cleveland, Ohio
Country: The United States of America

Description: The Old World Burger at Great Lakes Brewing is a classic BBQ burger. The burger consists of a char-grilled patty paired with smoked cheddar, bacon, fried onion straws, and house-made Edmund Fitzgerald Porter barbecue sauce. All of this is stacked between a pretzel roll that complements the bacon and cheddar very well. The flavors of the burger all come together quite well. However, a too thin and slightly dry patty and bun left this burger with a little to be desired.

If you are looking for great beer, good food, and a burger that will transport you to a backyard BBQ Great Lakes Brewing is your place. It is worth a visit for the beer alone, since Great Lakes crafts some of the best beer in the United States.
