Lindys Diner Website

431 N 4th Avenue
Tucson, Arizona
Country: The United States of America

Description: Lindy’s Diner is a fun burger joint located in Tucson, Arizona. Lindy’s is known as much for massive burgers as it is for innovative and creative concoctions.

The Blue Suede cow is one of Lindy’s most innovative burgers featuring peanut butter, bacon, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, and onion. At first reaction I thought that peanut butter on a burger was little weird. However, the creaminess, sweetness, and nuttiness pair quite well with beef. The pepper jack cheese adds some interesting seasoning to the burger and was not something I would not have picked, but having experience it I would say it is a must. The bun and beef were second to the peanut butter, bacon and cheese.

Overall, the Blue Suede cow is a very enjoyable menu item. Compared to the best burgers I’ve had the bun and beef fall a little short, but the flavor packed punch of Lindy’s burger and their fun sides makes them something you have to try.

2. Zinburger

Zinburger Website

1865 East River Rd #101
Tucson, Arizona
Country: The United States of America

Description: Zinburger is a fun and modern restaurant aimed at pairing gourmet burgers with fun drinks. The casual, modern, and relaxed atmosphere is instantly enjoyable. Zinburger has a few locations and their well-executed formula is likely to appeal to many.

Their trademark Zinburger consists of Manchego cheese, zinfandel braised onions & mayo. The burger has a very rich and creamy flavor to it, which would pair perfectly with a glass of wine, or their house made Zingria. Keeping it to these simple ingredients makes the texture and manageability of the burger quite good. While the flavors of the burger were amazing the bee could have been a bit more flavorful, and the bun a little more full of life.

Overall, Zinburger has a very good product, but it is not shooting for a spot on the top burgers in America list. However, if you are looking for a very fulfilling burger to relax with over a fun drink Zinburger has mastered this concept.

1. Pasco Kitchen

Pasco Kitchen Website

820 East University Boulevard
Tucson, Arizona
Country: The United States of America

Description: Pasco Kitchen is an upscale restaurant near the University of Arizona campus. It features a unique menu featuring a different spin on some classics. Their take on the burger is one of the more interesting burgers I have enjoyed.

The Big Boy Burger features a grass-fed all natural beef patty, 12-hour braised pork belly, fried farm fresh egg, house-whipped organic hollandaise, Oaxaca cheese, lettuce, red onion, tomato, and country bread toast. Upon taking a few bites of the burger, I noted that it had wonderful flavors, but the texture was a little off. I removed the lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Now, the burger was ready to shine. The juicy beef patty, hollandaise, cheese, egg, and pork belly were like a benedict in burger form. The hollandaise, cheese, and toast would have been a tasty sandwich in their own right. However, add in the pork belly and the juicy beef patty and you have a very tasty (and messy) burger. The burger’s personality was creamy + cheesy, while being complemented by the juicy + salty beef.

Pasco Kitchen gets some major points for creativity and flavor by doing much more than putting egg + bacon and making a “breakfast burger”.
