Double Stack

A classic double burger with special sauce. Tangy, juicy, and cheesy. It's the burger you've grown to love all grown up.

Ingredients:


 

  • Bakery Bun - 4 Buns
  •  

  • Thousand Island Dressing 0.25 pounds / 4 Ounces
  •  

  • Sliced Yellow Onions - 0.664 Onions
  •  

  • Dill Pickle Chips 0.25 pounds / 4 Ounces
  •  

  • Shredded Iceberg Lettuce 0.25 pounds / 4 Ounces
  •  

  • Yellow American - 4 Slices
  •  

  • Double Beef Patty - 40 Ounces (double cheese if the recipe includes it)
  •  

Preparation:


 

  1. Divide the meat into 5 ounce portions. Form each portion loosely into a 3/4-inch-thick patty and make a depression in the center with your thumb. Season both sides of each burger with salt and pepper.

    Tips:
    • Take care not to over work the meat
    • Allowing the meat to warm up to near room temperature will provide a better sear that will lock in flavor

  3. Wash and prep the yellow onions by cutting them into thin strips.
  4.  

  5. Wash and prep the lettuce blend by dicing it into thin and short strips.
  6.  

 

Cooking Directions:


 

  1. Place beef patties on the grill or pan at medium-high heat and cook for 3-5 minutes.
    • 3 Minutes = Medium-Rare
    • 3.5 Minutes = Medium
    • 4 Minutes = Medium-Well
    • 4.5 Minutes = Well

    Flip the burgers and continue cooking for 3-5 minutes until desired doneness:
    • 3 Minutes = Medium-Rare
    • 3.5 Minutes = Medium
    • 4 Minutes = Medium-Well
    • 4.5 Minutes = Well

  3. Place cheese on top of patty during the final minute of cooking
  4.  

  5. Lightly toast the bun during the last minute of cooking on a separate pan at low-medium heat (if desired).

Assembly Instructions:


 

  1. Place beef patty on top of bottom bun and then place the second beef patty on top of the first.

     

  2. Place the Yellow American on top of the meat (if not already done)

     

  3. Top the burger with Thousand Island Dressing

     

  4. Top the burger with Dill Pickle Chips

     

  5. Top the burger with Sliced Yellow Onion

     

  6. Top the burger with the Iceberg Lettuce

     

  7. Place the top half of the bun to complete the burger.
