Ingredients:

  • Beef Patty 1.5 pounds / 24 Ounces
  •

  • Gruyere - 4 Slices
  •

  • Organic Mixed Greens 0.25 pounds / 4 Ounces
  •

  • Grilled/Roasted Peppers - 0.5 Peppers
  •

  • Sliced Avocado - 1 Avocados
  •

  • Sun-Dried Tomato Vinaigrette 0.25 pounds / 4 Ounces
  •

  • Pretzel Bun - 4 Buns
  •

Preparation:

  1. Divide the meat into 6 ounce portions. Form each portion loosely into a 3/4-inch-thick patty and make a depression in the center with your thumb. Season both sides of each burger with salt and pepper.

    Tips:
    • Take care not to over work the meat
    • Allowing the meat to warm up to near room temperature will provide a better sear that will lock in flavor
  2.

  3. Slice the onion into thin slices and remove any seeds.
  4.

  5. Wash, peel, and slice the avocado into thin strips.
  6.

  7. Wash and prep the mixed greens.
  8.

Cooking Directions:

    • 4.5 Minutes = Well

Flip the burgers and continue cooking for 3-5 minutes until desired doneness:
    • 3 Minutes = Medium-Rare
    • 3.5 Minutes = Medium
    • 4 Minutes = Medium-Well
    • 4.5 Minutes = Well
  2.

  3. Over medium heat on a stove or grill cook the peppers until they brown and soften up slightly in texture. If using a stove adding a little bit of olive oil is recommended. Grilling the peppers should take approximately ten minutes.
  4.

  5. Place cheese on top of meat during the final minute of cooking
  6.

  7. Lightly toast the bun during the last minute of cooking on a separate pan at low-medium heat (if desired).
