Ingredients:

  • Angus Beef 1.5 pounds / 24 Ounces
  •

  • Tillamook Cheddar - 4 Slices
  •

  • Thick Cut Bacon - 8 Slices
  •

  • Shredded Iceberg Lettuce 0.25 pounds / 4 Ounces
  •

  • Dill Pickle Chips 0.25 pounds / 4 Ounces
  •

  • Grilled Onions - 0.664 Onions
  •

  • Dijonaise 0.25 pounds / 4 Ounces
  •

  • Brioche Style Bun - 4 Buns
  •

Preparation:

  1. Turn on the oven and preheat to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and lay the bacon on top.
  2.

  3. Divide the meat into 6 ounce portions. Form each portion loosely into a 3/4-inch-thick patty and make a depression in the center with your thumb. Season both sides of each burger with salt and pepper.

    Tips:
    • Take care not to over work the meat
    • Allowing the meat to warm up to near room temperature will provide a better sear that will lock in flavor
  4.

  5. Clean, trim, and slice onions as desired.
  6.

  7. Wash and prep the lettuce blend by dicing it into thin and short strips.
  8.

  9. Mix equal parts of dijon mustard and mayo together
  10.

Cooking Directions:

  1. Place the bacon in the oven and start a timer. Begin checking on the bacon around 12 minutes into cooking. The bacon should take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to be a perfect crispy golden brown.
  2.

  3. Place beef patties on the grill or pan at medium-high heat and cook for 3-5 minutes.
    • 3 Minutes = Medium-Rare
    • 3.5 Minutes = Medium
    • 4 Minutes = Medium-Well
    • 4.5 Minutes = Well

Flip the burgers and continue cooking for 3-5 minutes until desired doneness:
    • 3 Minutes = Medium-Rare
    • 3.5 Minutes = Medium
    • 4 Minutes = Medium-Well
    • 4.5 Minutes = Well
  4.

  5. In a large skillet or pan melt butter over medium-high heat until pan bottom is coated in butter. Use about 1 tablespoon butter per onion. Add chopped or sliced onions and cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until tender, stirring frequently with a wooden spoon or heatproof spatula
  6.

  7. Place cheese on top of meat during the final minute of cooking
  8.

  9. Lightly toast the bun during the last minute of cooking on a separate pan at low-medium heat (if desired).
  10.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Place beef patty on top of bottom bun

  2. Place the Tillamook Cheddar on top of the meat (if not already done)
